International Travel Advices

And which travel type are you ?

Everyone will find themselves in one of the travel types, that’s sure! And? Which travel type are you? 😉

“We need to look exactly at how to get from the airport to the hotel!” – The planner

No holiday is booked without first reviewing the hotel’s ratings and checking out all the sights and attractions online. The whole week is scheduled from start to finish – after all, you want to make sure you don’t miss anything. Spontaneity is difficult for the planner. Planners want clear structures and are perfectly prepared for any eventuality. Obviously, that has its advantages. The planner knows his way around and has even packed a sewing kit – just in case.

“By the way, I’m flying to Thailand tomorrow!” – The spontaneous type

The spontaneous traveller doesn’t hesitate. The next time he sees a good deal, he plunges headlong into the adventure. A short city break, a month-long trek, or a holiday on the beach, the spontaneous type decides from one day to the next where to go – and chooses the day’s activities on a whim rather than planning specific destinations ahead of time. That means he often travels alone. Even in a spontaneous circle of friends, that much spontaneity is just TOO spontaneous. But the spontaneous type is usually a very open person and always meets new people.

“We hitchhiked to the next city.” – The adventurer

The adventurer travels unconventionally. In contrast to the spontaneous traveller, he likes to discover new places that few tourists have gone to before – preferably with backpack and without any schedule of what to see where and when. The adventurer loves nature and seeks destinations far off the beaten path, either alone or with a small group. Whatever the detail, the trip has to be an unforgettable adventure with exhilarating highs and challenging lows.

“What city shall we check out next?” – The city hopper

The city hopper loves cities. Big cities, small towns or even tiny villages – as long as there’s something to see and you can do it quickly. Long weekends are especially popular among city hoppers. They travel often and there are few towns in the nearby surroundings that haven’t been marked with a little flag on the “been there, done that” mental map. If you travel with a city hopper, you’ll be sure to see a lot – but you should also get yourself some sturdy shoes. You’ll cover a lot of ground on a trip like this, but at least you’ll get your daily dose of exercise.

“First thing I’m going to do is sleep in late.” – The easygoing type

The easygoing traveller is happy almost everywhere as long as he can lie back and relax. His favourite types of holiday include wellness or the beach. His motto is simple: switch off, forget about the daily routine and recharge the batteries by doing nothing. His easygoing nature makes him a very pleasant travel companion – just not if you plan on doing a lot. A little trip here and there is okay for the easyoing type, as long as it’s in moderation. Otherwise, he won’t be able to work on his tan or finish reading his book!
