Imagine you’ve won a special trip to Disneyland Paris including hotel accommodation and park admission. Would you donate it to a person in need?

 

We all want to do good – for ourselves, for our family and friends, for the environment, for a better life. No matter how big or small, we can all do something to help make a positive change. Vienna House Czech Republic and its guests, for example, are helping to save natural resources by cutting down on cleaning products, reusing towels and donating to charity. And the attendees of a conference are even planting trees in a park as a teambuilding activity because they want to leave a positive footprint in the meeting destination. Many of us have surely donated to charity on the way to work or have offered our seat to an elderly person in the metro.

Who is the hero of the day?

With the launch of the new kids’ concept, Vienna House organised an international raffle in nine countries. The main prize was a trip to Disneyland Paris for the whole family. But few of the lucky winners were as generous as Michal K. from Prague.

Donating an amazing trip to charity

Michal has been devoted to charity and to helping those in need for years. So he decided to donate his holiday voucher to a child cancer patient and his family as part of the My New Life project.

The organisation, a long-time charity partner of Vienna House Czech Republic, helps child cancer patients and their parents by offering support during the demanding and expensive treatment and by making it easier for them to return to their ordinary lives once the treatment is done. Vienna House was positively surprised by the generosity of Michal K. and topped his gift by also sponsoring the family’s flight to Paris.

Making kids happy is the focus at Vienna House

The raffle was just one of the recent events related to the Vienna House launch of its new kids’ concept. In June, the hotels of Vienna House Czech Republic opened their doors to children with cancer. It was an intriguing and educative opportunity for the children from the My New Life organisation to find out how a hotel works behind the scenes.
