Next Monday it’s official: VI Hotels & Resorts becomes Vienna House. The entire team at the Corporate Office and at the individual hotels is looking forward to the future with great anticipation. Exciting days, weeks, months and years await the Vienna House family. Here’s a brief look at what lies ahead.
1. Vienna House online
One of the first changes is the launch of the new website. More than 48,000 lines of code went into the programming. The design is fully responsive, making it just as easy to navigate the site at one’s desktop as well as on the go.
2. House Stories
The old VI Blog already shines in a whole new light. Redubbed “House Stories”, Vienna House insiders will regularly share valuable information, insider tips, unique local experiences and amusing anecdotes about travel, pleasure and discoveries at the Vienna House destinations.
3. Mobile concierge
A mobile concierge – available via hotel WiFi on a computer, tablet or smartphone – will make it easier for guests to find their way around. Besides a complete “Guest A–Z”, users will also be able to use the intuitive design to communicate with the reception, find opening hours and telephone numbers, and check in or out remotely.
4. And offline?
But the website isn’t the only thing getting a facelift. Thanks to the hard work of the Marketing Department, the full range of printed materials has also been restyled in the new corporate design. As of Monday, new factsheets will be available in all hotels to replace the old leaflets and brochures. That amounts to quite a bit of paperwork …
5. Renovations and alterations…
The individual hotels are gradually being adapted to fit the new Vienna House design. The facilities and furnishings will take their cue from local influences while presenting themselves as modern, practical and colourful. The first properties to undergo this transformation are the hotels of the Easy Line. Alterations are already complete in Landsberg and Günzburg. Amberg, Braunschweig, Coburg, Castrop-Rauxel, Limburg, Neckarsulm and Wuppertal will follow this year and the next.
6. …not only at the hotels: Welcome to the new Corporate Office
New interiors have also checked into the Corporate Office in Vienna. As of this week, each of the areas on the Vienna House floor at Dresdnerstraße 87 in Vienna’s 20th district is representative of the four Vienna House lines – Vienna House, Vienna House Easy, andel’s by Vienna House and angelo by Vienna House.
7. Work makes hungry…
The Vienna House cuisine has no reason to be shy either. The offerings include local breakfasts, a bakery concept, select spirits and top-quality drinks at the bar, first-rate restaurants and even a Vienna House tea. All four hotel lines ground their culinary philosophy in simplicity, moving away from excessively large offerings to specialisation and refinement. Meanwhile, the Austrian herbal tea created especially for the hotels has already seen the first insiders fall for its unique appeal. J.
8. Minibar? Yesterday’s news!
Vienna House Easy lives this specialisation by turning away from the classic in-room minibar in favour of a small lobby store reminiscent of the “Ma and Pa shops” of days gone by. Here guests can leisurely browse through the selection of local foods and stylish articles for their daily needs.
9. Team spirit
Putting all these changes into action and breathing life into the Vienna House vision requires a strong team. In the past few weeks and months, the team has been working non-stop behind the scenes to hone and polish the future.
10. New values
Of course, good looks and a smart appearance aren’t everything – the basic values are just as important. These must make sense inside and out, they are the DNA of a company and the prerequisite for future success. Vienna House is down-to-earth and tasteful, goes new ways, and makes its guests happy. At Vienna House, we believe in the beauty of simplicity!
