Active spring holiday on the Amber Coast

Only two hours by car lie between Berlin and the Polish Amber Coast. The region’s endless open spaces and carefree atmosphere enthral guests all year round. And when the first warming rays of sun start driving the thermometer up, the time is right to combine an active holiday with rest and relaxation – no wonder that the region is one of the favourite holiday destinations in Poland.

Active time-out by the sea

In spring, things begin to pick up again on the Baltic coast. With a philosophy of “just getting out there”, cyclists, hikers, horseback riders, anglers, golfers, beach runners and pleasure-seekers take some active time out by the sea. Especially now, when the spring atmosphere is at its most vibrant and exhilarating, before the long sandy beaches are crowded by hordes of sun worshipers, extended walks along the sea are a daily ritual for many guests.

By bike and on horseback

This idyllic piece of Earth can also be experienced the active way by bike or even on horseback. Horseback riders will find a paradise of unspoilt natural beauty here that is guaranteed to turn the joy of riding into an experience to be cherished a lifetime.

Swing the golf club

Golfers prefer a more open space with a clearer view. This challenging game is becoming increasingly popular among young and old alike – it challenges the body and helps keep you fit! The extensive Amber Baltic Golf Club is nestled in the scenic surroundings of Wolin National Park not far from the Vienna House Amber Baltiv Miedzyzdroje. For more golfing challenges, five additional courses are located within an hour’s drive.

Wicker beach chairs: observate nature

And let’s not forget: many people come just because of the wicker beach chairs – to enjoy the “cinema” of nature. No sooner does spring begin to show its face than the beaches are populated by this odd-looking piece of furniture. The history of the “strandkorb” dates to the late 18th century, when the first seaside resorts began to appear along the Baltic coast. Its popularity has remained unbroken ever since. Hardcore beachgoers settle into their strandkorb with the first springtime sun, armed with a good book and a windbreaker, looking out to sea…
