Flying can be an exhausting and stressful experience – not just psychologically but physically too. Here are some beauty tips so you can start your holiday or meeting feeling fresh and alert – despite the long hours in the plane.
Less is more
Wearing make-up is all well and good – for many of us, it has become a regular part of the daily beauty routine – but we recommend not making up your face before you fly. Without a cover cream, your skin will be able to breathe much better during your trip.
Fun bun
Tangled, knotted hair and a generally unkempt look are not unusual after a long trip. One way to avoid a messy hairdo is to twist your hair into a bun. The higher the bun, the more comfortable it will be if you need a quick nap on the plane. After landing, you can undo the knot and comb your hair with your fingertips.
A blast of freshness for the face
There’s no getting around the air conditioning on a plane. And it does serve a purpose. But the dry air can quickly become a burden for the skin. Having a moisturising cream on board can work wonders for that necessary blast of freshness.
Drink lots of water
As mentioned above, conditioned air can quickly dry out your skin. In addition to fighting dry skin topically, you can also give your skin moisture from within. If you want to leave the plane with a look of freshness, then drink lots of water. And don’t be too sparing!
Put a smile on your face
Flying can be stressful. That makes it difficult to maintain a cheerful disposition. But there’s an easy way to fool your own self. Even if you don’t really feel like it, smile! The facial muscles stimulate a nerve that triggers feelings of happiness in the brain.
