Sustainability– the word is everywhere these days. At the supermarket, in the fashion industry or in transport and mobility, everyone wants to keep their ecological footprint as small as possible. After all, even simple things can make the world a little bit better.
Reusing and recycling is just one way to act sustainably. Buying vintage gives the whole thing a touch of coolness. No big city is complete without at least one hip second hand shop selling a range of vintage, retro and antique curiosities. Bratislava also has a few things to offer in this department. So just for you, here’s a shortlist of the best vintage shops in the Slovak capital.
Nox Vintage – Discover the world of yesterday
You’ll find this hidden retro paradise just a few minutes on foot from the main square. From clothing to bags, shoes and even furniture, this little shop is a vintage freak’s heaven on earth. Lovingly decorated and with a very helpful owner. The only downside: the prices are pretty steep. Still, Nox Vintage is definitely worth a visit.

Textile House – Good and affordable
This vintage shop located right on the main square stands out especially for its low prices – clothes can be had starting for just one euro – and the enormous selection: floral prints, silk blouses, jeans jackets and retro fashions aplenty for both him and her.
