EXPERIENCE CRACOW

The Vienna House Easy Chopin Cracow is situated in the city's buzzing commercial district. Rynek Główny, the splendid medieval market square with its imposing Cloth Hall, is close to the hotel. Cracow old town is a UNESCO World Heritage site, as is the Royal Wawel Castle – the former residence of the King of Cracow.

    For over 600 years, a bugle call, delivered from the tower of St. Mary's Church, has marked the passing of every hour, a custom entirely unique to Cracow. Only four female portraits by Renaissance master Leonardo da Vinci exist worldwide and the most beautiful of them – Lady with an Ermine hangs in Cracow for all to admire.

  • EXPLORE CRACOW

    Cracow is characterised by numerous Jewish buildings. Thanks to the film Schindler's List – (the Enamel factory is also open to the public) – the Kazimierz Jewish quarter has been extensively renovated. Numerous tours are available on which you can learn about the history and inhabitants of the quarter.

  • SACRED CRACOW

    No visit would be complete without a tour of the churches of Cracow, which illustrate how the city has developed over the centuries. Don't miss the Franciscan Church, the Wawel Cathedral or the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul.

  • CRACOW FOR THE FEARLESS

    Not for the faint-hearted, Lost Soul Alley is an interactive museum dedicated to the basic human emotion, fear. It's still great fun and a big hit with visitors. For souvenir shopping, the area around Rynek Główny square is recommended.

  • CRACOW EXCURSIONS

    If you have time for a day trip out of Cracow, take a tour of the Wieliczka Salt Mines, where you'll find chambers carved out of rock salt, eerie underground salt lakes, unique salt sculptures and a sumptuous network of rooms. Explore 3 km of labyrinthine corridors, climb 800 steps and descend to the darkest depths, 135 metres below the earth's surface – what are you waiting for!
