    The Karrenbahn cable car takes visitors up Dornbirn's local mountain, the Karren, and offers splendid views. At 971 m it is not a particularly high mountain but thanks to the panorama restaurant it is a popular tourist destination offering mainly Austrian cuisine. The Karren is also an ideal starting point for hikes.

    The largest Rolls-Royce Museum in the world houses over 1,000 exhibits in a historic textile mill. Some individual pieces include King George V's safari touring car, King Edward VIII's limousine, the Queen Mother's Landauer, General Franco's parade car, the Rolls-Royce which was used in the film 'Lawrence of Arabia' and many more.

    The spectacular natural history experience Inatura is famous well beyond the town. Visitors young and old are introduced to a variety of natural history themes through interactive stations and “Science Zones”. The FLATZ Museum is devoted to the creative work of local contemporary artist Wolfgang Flatz.

  • From Zürich Airport:
    Take the IC 721 express train to St. Gallen. Change at St. Gallen and take the S3 towards St. Margrethen, then travel to the terminus. From here, take the S3 towards Bregenz / Riedenburg. Then continue on the regional express train REX 5577 towards Dornbirn.

By car

You can get to the Martinspark Vienna House Dornbirn comfortably and easily via the A14 from Germany, Switzerland and Liechtenstein. You can purchase a 10-day vignette for Austria at the border.

  • From the north or south:
    On the A14, the Rheintal Motorway, take the exit for Dornbirn Süd. The hotel is just a few minutes away from the motorway exit. Simply follow the signage.
