Bicycle team building trip to the Turquoise Lake in Wapnica, company tournament in the hotel's bowling alley or a relaxing round of golf in nearby Kołczewo – the surroundings of Miedzyzdroje abound in interesting places and provide ideal conditions for active recreation. It will be a good idea to go Nordic walking in the Wolin National Park (a European bison reserve or viewing points Kawcza Góra or Gosań would be great destinations) while for horse riding enthusiasts there is a stud farm in Modrzew (about 30 km away).

Called 'the gold of the north', amber is one of the biggest attractions of the Baltic beaches. Just opposite the hotel you will find stores and stalls offering amber – but you will have much more fun looking for it on the beach yourself! First of all, choose the right time: the key are the winds and rough waves, so the best would be right after the storm. And then all you need to do is to sharpen your eyesight and... just have some luck!

• don't make the sun the main topic, rather use it as a background or light source to showcase something else
• decide whether people are to be just "dark silhouettes" (then figure-hugging clothes are best, and an interesting pose) or be illuminated (then use flash)
• make sure the horizon line is straight – even a slight tilt spoils the photo
