Explore Bucharest
So you know little Paris?

Elegant buildings in French "belle époque" style, large boulevards and museums which are hosting expositions with free entrance... welcome to Bucharest, named also 'Little Paris', the capital of Romania is a bustling eastern European metropolis.

The exact location

Just 300 metres from the airport, the hotel is located directly on European route E60/DN1. A free shuttle bus will ensure you arrive stress-free.

  • Carturesti Carusel Bookstore

A must see. Named by its owners “an experiment in cultural living in the old city centre”, this beautiful bookstore is the result of the respectful restoration of an elegant 19th century building in Bucharest. A sea of white and light framed by impressive columns, boasting 6 levels. 10.000 items between books, music and DVDs, as well as a multimedia event space, a bistro and an art gallery.

  • Thrills for the young and the young at heart

This is the place to relax and to try out new experiences with your friends and family. The tree tracks have different difficulty levels that are suitable not just for kids but also for the most adventurous grown-ups. You can also ride the bike through the forest or jump down from 15 metres, obviously in a safe way. Moreover, the project includes something new in Romania: fully-equipped tree houses where you can check in and spend some restful nights.

  • DREAMY BUCHAREST

The historic Lipscani quarter is the ideal place for a stroll. Wander through cobbled alleyways, browse the various art galleries and antiques shops, and take a break in one of the many coffee houses. Don't miss the Hanul cu Tei inner courtyard tucked between Strada Lipscani and Strada Blanari.

  • MUSICAL BUCHAREST

Crowdfunding is not a 21st century phenomenon. In 1888, when the builders of the Athenaeum ran out of money, they appealed to the public for funds to complete this magnificent concert hall with success. With its opulent frescoes and unique acoustics, the hall is today the home of the renowned George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra.

  • POWERFUL BUCHAREST

The Palace of the Parliament, formerly known as the People's Palace, today houses the Romanian Parliament and a conference centre. A magnificent communist-era folly, it is the second largest government building in the world after the Pentagon. And it's well worth a visit, if only for an insight into the pomp and splendour of a bygone era and the examples of Romanian folk art.

  • ENJOY BUCHAREST

Romanian cuisine has been influenced by the Greeks, Saxons, Turks, Slavs and Magyars. Its primary ingredients are meat, fish, vegetables, dairy products and fruit. For one of its best exponents try the traditional Caru cu Bere restaurant, where centuries-old dishes are given a new interpretation.

  • ACTIVE BUCHAREST

An excellent way to explore the city's communist past is to take a guided bike tour. Local guides will take you past the most important communist buildings as well as through parks and other areas, and are a mine of information about the city and its inhabitants.
