Kids @ Vienna House

Hotels are soooo boring! Elevator up, elevator down. A room, a bed, a suitcase. Ha! Not at Vienna House! Here they’ve thought of everything so that parents and children feel right at home and the kids have enough fun during their stay.

Kids places2be @ Trier

Joh's an expert in finding new and exciting places where kids can have fun. There's so much to discover in and around Trier. Here are Joh's favourite places:

  • Eifelpark Gondorf

Covering an area equivalent to almost 100 soccer fields, Eifelpark Gondorf is a unique combination of zoo and amusement park. The park is home to deer and lynx, but also to exotic animals like wallabies and kangaroos. The more than 45 amusement rides, from paddle boats all the way to rollercoasters, promise fun and excitement for young and old.

  • In the Realm of Shadows - A multimedia installation

This is a different sort of educational experience. The Rheinische Landesmuseum Trier gives children aged 6 and up the opportunity for a unique history lesson. The multimedia room theatre is a cinematic 360° experience showcasing facts about the antique life of Roman-era Trier through a mix of animation, radio play and music. Every Tuesday through Sunday at 11.30 a.m. and 2.30 p.m.

  • Trier Adventure Performances

This is a whole new sort of city tour. Actors whisk audiences away to a time when Rome ruled the world and the fate of the empire was controlled from Trier. Suddenly the spectators are standing in the middle of those eventful times – and not just as passive observers! Exciting, entertaining and fun, tourists are taken on a turbulent trip through time in front of the walls of the Porta Nigra. Recommended for kids ages 10 and up.
