Warsaw: sights to see
What to do when in Warsaw
Two days in the Polish capital and an always-on question: what to plan for free time to score some sightseeing, have some fun and make the most of your stay in Warsaw? When looking for group entertainment, team building activities and ways to stimulate team's creativity, it's worth going outside the box. So if sightseeing is your thing, this time choose not the Old Town but Wilanow Palace; if you're up for a little bit of gambling, instead of the casino choose horse racing. Add to this a culinary workshop or cooking show, a collective jumping for health – and the plan is ready!
WARSAW TOP ATTRACTIONS
The Old Town and Lazienki Park are worth visiting every time you are in Warsaw, but this time you should focus on the nearby Wilanow Palace (residence of king Jan III Sobieski) and its unusual attractions for groups. Apart from thematic walks guided by educators – about Sarmatian culture or stories from the palace façades – you can try calligraphy at a wooden desk, with a goose feather in hand, or get a taste of Warsaw in the 1920s and 1930s thanks to a virtual tour of the capital's most famous old pubs and diners. In the winter season, the Royal Garden of Lights is also worth visiting – it's magic!
WARSAW HORSE RACING
Want to make a lasting impression on your conference participants? Plan your event to include a weekend, and plan an outing to the Służewiec Racetrack – it's like the Polish Ascot! The races take place every weekend from May to mid-November, and as well as allowing you to show off in elegant company, they guarantee sporting thrills – and if you bet on the right horse, a bag of money too. Mind you, there is a dress code in the VIP section!
TRAMPOLINE PARK WARSAW
„Jump! Go ahead and jump” – Van Halen know what they are talking about, this desire is in all of us! What's the best place to make it come true? We recommend Hangar 646 in Mokotów, a stone's throw from Vienna House. Apart from trampolines, there's also a traverse wall, an obstacle zone, a bumper zone, an airbag, basketball hoops, a climbing wall... You won’t get bored. And you can do something for your health – studies prove that jumping on a trampoline is more effective than jogging.
COOKING WORKSHOPS WARSAW
It doesn't get any closer! – The Institute of Culinary Arts, which organises phenomenal events around food, is only a street's width away from Vienna House Mokotow Warsaw. It offers cooking workshops, master classes and tastings – as well as team-building in the Cooking Clash/Master Chef formula! Combine your conference or business meetings at the hotel with integration after hours, provide participants with good fun and develop team potential.
